This past Saturday, CMOM and the awesome people from the Confucius Institute at the University of Memphis (CIUM) got together in celebration of the museum's "Children of Hangzhou" exhibit. Kids and adults alike got a chance to experience Chinese culture through 3 fun hands-on art activities: creating Beijing opera masks, Chinese paper cutting, and practicing Chinese calligraphy. CMOM is so thankful to Dr. William Hu, Riki Jackson, and all the wonderful CIUM volunteers who made Saturday's "China & You" program a total success!
My friend Josie and I had a blast learning about Chinese paper cutting.
This little girl learned how to make a sheet of paper magically transform into a beautiful flower.
