Exciting prizes like this Malco Gift card that is sitting on my desk! Or a CMOM prize basket! Send me your suggestions at Loni.Wellman@cmom.com! OR you can stop by the museum and place them in the amazing voting box!

Either way, the room needs a great name!!! Unfortunately the following names have already been denied:

Loni Rocks
Loni is Awesome
The Loni Wellman Reading Experience
Here are some before and after pictures. The room is located next to Your House, My House--right next to the slide! We'll see ya there!

China & You Event = SUCCESS

This past Saturday, CMOM and the awesome people from the Confucius Institute at the University of Memphis (CIUM) got together in celebration of the museum's "Children of Hangzhou" exhibit. Kids and adults alike got a chance to experience Chinese culture through 3 fun hands-on art activities: creating Beijing opera masks, Chinese paper cutting, and practicing Chinese calligraphy. CMOM is so thankful to Dr. William Hu, Riki Jackson, and all the wonderful CIUM volunteers who made Saturday's "China & You" program a total success!

My friend Josie and I had a blast learning about Chinese paper cutting.

The CIUM volunteers showed these cuties how to write their names in Chinese.

This little girl learned how to make a sheet of paper magically transform into a beautiful flower.

You Are the Music in Me...

DeSoto Family Theatre presents:
"Selections from High School Musical 2"
Saturday, April 4th at Noon
Children’s Museum of Memphis

"What time is it? Summer time! School's out--and the Wildcats are back for an all new adventure. Join the East High gang as they dive into the enchanted world of Lava Springs Country Club and put their talent to the ultimate test!"

I must be 10 years old again--that's how excited I am about the great folks at DeSoto Family Theatre coming to perform acts from "High School Musical 2" this Saturday. The songs we all know...the dancing...Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Chad, Ryan...it's gonna be a blast!
