Gifts
This past week we have received a few gifts generously donated by a local store.
Our admissions desk will be replaced in October with this lovely castle so your little ones will be able to feel like prince and princesses on entering the museum!
There has also been a new addition already added to Playscape Park. This tike sized school bus equipped with a slide, play area, and steering wheel is super fun for the little ones.

For Further Reading...
Fabulous Fine Art (Fridays at 10 a.m.) is one of my favorite programs (and hopefully those who have attended have enjoyed it as well). For all the budding artists (young and old) out there, here are some suggested books for further reading on the artists we've explored.
Georgia O’Keeffe
My Name Is Georgia: A Portrait by Jeanette Winter (children)
Through Georgia’s Eyes by Rachel Victoria Rodriguez (children)
Frida Kahlo
Frida by Jonah Winter (children)
Gustave Courbet
Gustave Courbet by Gerstle Mack (adults)
Marcel Duchamp
Duchamp: A Biography by Calvin Tomkins (adults)
Friday’s (September 17) Fabulous Fine Art will focus on Alma Thomas.
Alma Thomas
Alma W. Thomas: A Retrospective of the Paintings (adults)
Hopefully we'll see you there!
